Fallen Leaf Lake is located in a beautiful recreation area near National Forest!
Location
Located about 30 min. south of South Lake Tahoe, Fallen Leaf Lake is near beaches, Camp Richardson, Emerald Bay, Angora Lakes, Desolation Wilderness, Glen Alpine Springs, and Mt. Tallac.
- To get to S. Lake Tahoe from the San Francisco Bay Area: Take U.S Highway I-80 to Sacramento, and follow US 50 all the way up the mountain to S. Lake Tahoe.
- To get to S. Lake Tahoe from Reno: Take U.S. Highway 395 south to Carson City. Turn right on Highway 50 south to S. Lake Tahoe.
- To get to Fallen Leaf Lake from S. Lake Tahoe:
Continue through the city of S. Lake Tahoe on Highway 50/Lake Tahoe Blvd. When you come to the "Y" near "Raley's" supermarket, take a left on Highway 89/Emerald Bay Rd.
